DOESN'T FIT SHORT-WAISTED WOMEN

"This dress does not run large as some have stated. It runs true to size.
It also doesn't work for short-waisted women. When I put the dress on, the shoulders kept falling off me. So, unless you're tall, I don't think you will get the right fit.
The dress also kept flopping open in the front. I guess that's because I wasn't long enough to keep the shoulders on?
The knit is a thick knit and comfortable. The bottom of the dress has a semi-gathered ruffled, which to me distracts from its elegant look and makes it more of a peasant style.
I recommend this for someone tall and not too busty. But, for me it did not work and I had to return it."

"I really liked the dress and think it to be high quality, cute and comfortable. I wore the dress to a wedding and had so many compliments on it. I think, however, I will hate the waist taken in a little. I'm large chested and the top of the dress fit great while the bottom was a little big. It's an awesome dress I know I will get lots more use out of it."

"I agree with other reviewers who commented on the odd cut under the arms -- it cuts in so if you have any flesh where chest-meets-arm, it will be unattractively on display. this is not visible in the online photo, where the model appears to have the sleeves balanced precariously on the edge of her shoulders (where they wouldn't stay if she moved). otherwise, it's an okay dress, does run a bit large, and the fabric is t-shirt like, but for a casual dress -- at the sale price -- that seems okay."

"This dress is such a great value at this sale price. It is so versatile. This Fall/Winter I will wear it with black suede boots and big silver earrings. Next summer I can imagine wearing it with a variety of sandals for a casual look. This dress offers the right combination of sass and femininity. The fabric is soft and the fit is wonderful. "My sister bought this dress first, a few years ago. She just looks so stunning in it! When it went on sale, I just had to have one of my own! The material is so soft & comfortable. I bought the Med. & feel that it fits TTS. This dress is such a classic & will be suitable for numerous occassions. It is definately a go to dress that you can throw on in a moments notice & be on your way. And now the price is reduced even further!!!!!"

"I was lucky enough to get this dress at the sale price. The fabric is not what I expected -- it looks more like silk in the catalog photo -- but I'm happy with it all the same. Based on other reviews, I ordered a size down, and it fits well. Some reviewers complained that the fabric is cut away too widely under the arm, but I'm 5'9" and it's a relief to find clothes that fit my torso properly and aren't bunched up under the armpit area. The dress has small ruffles on the skirt and rosette pintucks on the shoulders. Very pretty."

"I fell in love w/ this dress the first time I saw it and was not dissappointed from the moment I unwrapped it and put it on! Beautiful detailing and design, soooo soft, very easy to dress it up with funky accessories or be a bit more casual and let the detailing be the focus. The perfect dress to get you past the dilemma of "i don't want to be under/over dressed". Rich cranberry color.
The other reviews GREATLY helped my size choice, I'm 5'10, curvey yet slim, w/ a 36D bust;, my biggest concern was having enough coverage in the bust. The medium fit perfect and was even a bit loose around the waist, however fit perfectly on top. ( I never expect an even fit from top to bottom when I buy dresses and keep a good tailor on speed dial, just a few tweeks can make it a custom fit.) I definately recommend going down a size. Great dress and am looking forward to wearing it again!

"Peruvian Connections would be my favorite store no matter where I was. I have lost lots of money in the last 5 years, so I can't afford what I used to.I saw this dress when it first came out and could not afford it. I couldn't believe it was left to go on sale.I thought and thought, and decided I would forego even food if I had to. I wanted the dress. As usual, it is beautiful, great quality, fits perfect, and feels beautiful on. I will probably wear it on a very hot day when there is opportunity since I have to wear it!Thx to all of you there at Peruvian for kind, desirable, and very lovely quality of service. and for staying w me now that I cannot to buy very often."

"I ordered this dress in a medium using the sizing guidelines on the PC website. This dress, however, runs large. I am tall - 5'11" and slim, so I thought I would need a medium which is what I usually wear. The medium was way too big for me and gaped at both the waist and bust. It seems that one would need a large bust or a well-padded bra for the top part of the dress to fit properly. I am going to order the small and see if it fits. The red color is absolutely stunning and fabric, while knit, is very thick and well-made."

"This dress is absolutely beautiful. The reviews that refer to it as "t-shirt" material do not do it justice. It is a lovely, rich jersey that provides an extremely elegant look; I will be weaing it to an event that requires cocktail attire, and I know it will work perfectly. It does run a little big, so consider that when ordering your size."

"I unfortunately didn't fit into this dress. After I read the reviews and a woman who usually wore a 12-14 ordered a medium and it fit, I decided to order a small. The dress fit in the bust (I am a 34C) but the high waist was tight around my rib cage and the skirt didn't hang free because my hips were too big (hips 38). The jersey fabric is nice, not as formal as the dress perhaps but very comfortable."
