"Every now and then, you purchase an item of clothing that you know will be a "go to" wardrobe staple....well this is one of those favorites. I bought it last year and have paired it with everything from jeans to leggings/boots and my LBD. It adds extra warmth over a heavy sweater, and knocks off the chill when worn over a lighter garment. I do agree with another reviewer that taller folks can carry it off with more ease. I'm 5'8" and it fits me perfectly. It's a real style chameleon....elegant, artsy, casual...whatever your mood or style, it works. And now you can get it at the sale price, you lucky dogs."

"The cape was irresistible in the photos and reviewers' comments, but, alas, it doesn't work for me--it's quite heavy and bulky and, most importantly, I think it takes a relatively tall woman to carry it off. I'm 5'3" and it really made me look dumpy. I'm returning it. Sigh...."

"I bought this cape earlier (at full price!) in my regular size, and was disappointed how it looked on me. BIG MISTAKE! A few weeks ago, I bought it AGAIN, but in the XL. WOW! That's all that was needed. The larger size gave it more movement and drape. This cape is pure alchemy: iit doesn't turn you to gold, but it makes you stand taller and look elegant. Love IS wonderful the second time around!"

"Have been watching this cape and checking the reviews for a long time. When it went on sale, I didn't hesitate. I love this garment. It's very cozy, versatile and slimming on the body. The knit is luxurious. Wore it right away and got a compliment from a male coworker who said, wow is that a cape, it looks really nice on you! This is investment dressing that's timeless and will never go out of style. Good job, PC!"

"I would not have even looked at this piece based on the photo in the catalogue..but believe me, it is SO much better in person! I bought this in the VT store so I was able to try it on and it is so cool. It's WARM and funky and as other buyers have said, it will go with anything, over anything--very versatile. I also discovered it can be worn "reversed" since the long collar piece would hang over the PC label and the brown side looks great. It really is an amazing design. Some people think it needs pockets but it's really beautiful without them. The drape is so flattering and the large/long shawl neck and collar can be worn a million ways. Wear it with a belt or a very large, funky pin or leave it open. I've gotten lots of compliments and I think it will never be dated or out of style! This was an unexpected fabulous find!"

"This is the best purchase I have made at Peruvian Connection! The amount of wear I will get from this item can not be counted. Excellent drape, warmth and insulation, wrinkle recovery and versatility of use. I have worn with jeans, slacks, dresses and even with a tunic, tights and boots. I have even worn it on the reverse side. I am tall with long arms and don't have to worry about the length---this is a major plus. I'm waiting for the next line to come out (with and without pockets) in new colors, i.e. black/gray or brown/tan. I just love it!!-- It looks simply marvelous on and is oh so tres chic!!!"

"I think the catalog stylist did a disservice to this versatile, simply elegant layer. As shown, with the shawl bunched up around the neck, it's unwearable due to the bulk. However, with the voluminous 'collar' draped down over the shoulder, it becomes sleeve like over the arms and hangs to the mid back at about the waist, so the garment is like a caped jacket. It drapes gracefully around the body. It's really a magical thing. Lying flat, it's a full circle of dark, neutral brown/black, finely-knit fabric with two armholes. Wearing it, it sweeps around your body, covers your arms and does it all in graceful arcs."
