"At first, I thought the navy color was too dark, but once I started to wear this sweater, I fell in love. it has great style and is so comfortable. Can be a little itchy, but not severely - a camisole will work for those are sensitive. Dresses up jeans and khakis."

"This sweater looks fantastic on, and feels even better! Ths seaming trim is slenderizing. The colors are heathered and flattering. It is warm without bulk. Great collar and cuffs. The length is just right with pants or leggings! If there were more colors, I would probably buy them as well!"

"This is a very comfortable, light weight but warm elegant casual sweater. The alpaca is just as soft and warm as cashmir without the allergic properties of wool. It feels wonderful next to the skin. I bought the dark blue and it's heather tones hide the evidence of unwanted dog hairs making it the perfect dark sweater for me. This product was worth the back-order wait."

"I originally ordered this sweater over a year ago. It was out of stock. I thought about going on the Wait List, but decided I'd get something else instead. Then, this fall, it appeared again in the catalog! I ordered it, it was out of stock again, but I put my name on the Wait List this time. It arrived a few weeks ago, and it was worth the wait! "Been snowy and cold here and had been eyeing this sweater for some time. Finally indulged. Oh my! Love the cut, the cuffs, and the hand. It is beautifully soft. I wear a silk T-neck under it. Am afraid I am going to wear it out. Will have to purchase another in navy (bought the grey) and possibly also the brick. It's now the first sweater I go to. All sweatshirts temporarily retired. Thank you Peruvian Connection. Never been disappointed!"

"Am very happy with this item in navy. It is, indeed a bit scratchy, however wearing a camisole or the like under it works well. The fact that the collar can be button up all the way or not is a fine option."

"This is an ideal sweater for fit and style. I wear it usually with jeans but it could be dressed up with a skirt. My only con would be that it is a bit itchy so I usually wear a silk chemise underneath and that solves the problem."

"Usually I wear cashmere next to my skin, but this style appealed to me so much I decided to buy it, in gray. I have worn it many times and washed it twice by hand with great results. It looks stylish and casual and feels comfortable. It's great for long walks (you can button it up when face the wind or unbutton when you get warmed up) and is great with jeans or simple skirts. I adore having the sleeves long enough to scrunch a bit at the wrists. I can wear it with a camisole or with a t-neck and it will see a lot of use, I'm certain.

"I agree with the other reviewers that mention the price of the sweater. But it is well constructed and should see years of service as it is a piece that is a classic design. I gave it four stars because it is expensive and even though well made, I feel a scratchiness to the sweater that I wish were not there. It's not bad by a long shot but I need to wear a light layer underneath. But that's just me, I got the blue for me and the merlot for my sister for her birthday. They are both lovely colors and my sister loves hers - no scratchy complaints at all. It is generously sized, so layers underneath are not a problem. Great sweater to take you through fall and winter."

"This sweater is so pretty and so comfortable! I gave 4 stars for value cause I do feel it was kind of pricey. Other then being a tab bit expensive, the quality is there and it feels great against your skin. I'm sure the cost is a reflection on the quality of material and craftmanship so it's worth it!"

"This is a wonderful piece of clothing. Simple and functional, but still classy and elegant. It's really luxury for the daytime and evenings in a casual atmosphere. The feeling of the fiber on the skin is great.
I got it in navy melange which is a good colour for me. Some people may find the colour too dark, as it appears to be darker than navy. It could also pass as black melange or anthracite. As a slight con I could mention that the henley isn't cheap especially for European customers who pay a surcharge on the prizes stated in the US-catalog."
